Craig Binns - 31 years in public service planning, research and development of housing in Glasgow. Craig is active in Unison and wrote and edited campaign materials against Glasgow council's abandonment of its housing responsibilities in Glasgow.
Jimmy Black - journalist and former head of PR for Glasgow Housing Association and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations. Jimmy is a strong believer in small, community based housing associations.
Gavin Corbett -Head of Campaigns at Shelter Scotland.
Mike Dailly - principal solicitor, Govan Law Centre and Scotland's foremost tenants rights lawyer, Mike drafted the bills to remove poinding and for free school meals. Perhaps his greatest accolade came from GHA Chief Executive Michael Lennon, who recently suggested he was an “ambulance chaser” after Mike exposed shocking levels of dampness in GHA flats in Govan.
Colin S Deans - secretary of Scottish Monitoring Group, editor of GHA Watch. Was elected by tenants to GHA's board of governance but later removed by the GHA Board. Colin is a leading light in Pollokshaws and is largely to blame for this conference.
Baillie John Flanagan - local Labour Member and long standing campaigner for better housing. Committee Member of Govan Housing Association. Glasgow’s spokesperson on Community Councils.
Billy McAllister - housing support worker at WESTGAP and well known community activist in Maryhill. Was elected by tenants to board of GHA and then removed by the GHA Board)
Bob Marshall - engineer with extensive experience of system and remedial construction works. Bob has been banging at GHA's door for some four years to no avail.
Neil Phillips - graduate engineer and member of the Institute of Energy, Neil is with the Energy Saving Centre.
Tommy Sheridan - former leader of the Scottish Socialist Party, arguably Scotland’s most charismatic politician
Dr Mary Taylor - Mary Taylor is a lecturer in housing studies at Stirling University. She has practical management experience, both in a voluntary capacity and professionally, through employment and periodic secondments to housing consultancy. Since 1990, she has worked at Stirling University where she has been active in teaching, research, writing and advising on housing issues at various levels. Her doctoral thesis was about stock transfer focusing on the process of change and data to support policy evaluation.
Sandra White MSP - list SNP member for Glasgow. Her postbag and surgeries are dominated by housing issues. A tireless campaigner for social justice, Sandra appeared on countless platforms opposing the “privatisation” of Glasgow’s council houses.
