Workshops
1. Homelessness - Convener Gavin Corbett (Head of Campaigns at Shelter Scotland) and Andy Locke, Glasgow Housing Aid Centre). This will consider unmet need, the future for hostel dwellers, temporary accommodation and eviction policies.
2. Innovations in Construction & Energy Provision - Bob Marshall (housing construction specialist) & Neil Phillips (Energy Saving Centre).  In the light of appalling fuel poverty in Glasgow, the workshop will consider current available technology and question GHA’s hostility to innovation. Is this symptomatic of stock transfers?
3. Small is Beautiful ... Community Housing Associations vs Big Business? Jimmy Black (housing journalist, former head of PR at SFHA & GHA). The case for small, tenant controlled housing associations - of which very few exist. Workshop will compare real housing associations with the property companies which result from large scale stock transfer.
4. Real Demand for Housing - Rapporteur Craig Binns (Unison). Attempts to reconcile conflicting predictions of demand.
5. Vulnerable Tenants - Leader, Maria Weir. This session will address issues with disabled tenants, others in need of support and also the housing aspirations of black and ethnic minorities.
6. Save our Homes ... Tenants Fight Back - Convener is Sean Clerkin, Campaign Against Stock Transfer, and the rapporteur is Iain McInnes. Explores tenant consultation/participation issues and case histories from various Glasgow estates.
